New Political Party ABNC Launches in Antigua and Barbuda

New

New political energy has entered Antigua and Barbuda with the launch of the Antigua and Barbuda National Congress.
The group, known as ABNC, says it aims to transform national governance.
Specifically, it wants to end years of weak accountability and poor transparency.

According to the party, both major political groups have failed the country.
These include the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party and the United Progressive Party.
As a result, ABNC says public trust has steadily declined.

Over the past year, the party notes repeated national scandals.
Therefore, it argues that leadership standards have fallen dangerously low.
At the same time, it says citizens face a shortage of truth and integrity.

Meanwhile, ABNC points to rising financial pressure on residents.
It highlights excessive taxation as a major concern.
In addition, it notes gaps in health care and infrastructure.

The party also criticizes the political culture between the two main parties.
It says blame often replaces responsibility.
For example, criticism is regularly met with counter accusations.

As a result, ABNC believes governance has become a public spectacle.
It argues that leadership should not resemble a children’s game.
Instead, it says the nation deserves serious and responsible management.

Against this backdrop, ABNC presents itself as a fresh alternative.
It says its focus is on standards that deliver real benefits.
These include economic stability and improved public services.

Furthermore, the party says its policies will serve the state first.
By extension, it says citizens will see measurable improvements.
Therefore, ABNC frames itself as people-centered and results-driven.

The party also stresses national unity.
It says it welcomes individuals guided by the national motto.
That motto is “Each Endeavouring, All Achieving.”

Although aware of challenges faced by third parties, ABNC remains confident.
It says history should not discourage progress.
Instead, it believes good governance can change political outcomes.

Looking ahead, ABNC says it is ready to govern.
It wants to reshape how citizens experience public service.
Ultimately, it says its goal is a better life for all.

The statement was issued by Gail S. Pero-Weston.
She signed on behalf of the Antigua and Barbuda National Congress.
