Missing Link leader Nigel Bascus is seeking to enter the St John’s Rural West race. Notably, he represents the Missing Link–Voice of the People Party. As a result, he positions himself as an alternative to major parties.

The general election is set for April 30 in Antigua and Barbuda. However, Bascus must first secure ten nominations. Once completed, he will officially join the contest.

Meanwhile, he is expected to face two established candidates. These include Michael Joseph of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party. In addition, Richard Lewis will represent the United Progressive Party.

Bascus, a fisherman by trade, highlighted his simple motivation. He stressed that he is not driven by money or status. Instead, he said he wants to improve his country. Therefore, his campaign focuses on service rather than personal gain.
