Lovell, United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate for All Saints West, endorsed party leader Jamale Pringle on Tuesday night.

Moreover, he called for unity and national change during a candidate ratification event. He said the election is a pivotal moment for Antigua and Barbuda.

“We are at that point where change is necessary,” Lovell told supporters. Furthermore, he expressed full confidence in Pringle. “We stand behind the honorable Jamale Pringle.”

In addition, Lovell stressed party cohesion. “Whatever is in the past, bury the past. Whatever is in the future, let it rise,” he said.

“Unity is not just a slogan. Unity is our strength,” he added. He urged supporters to focus on teamwork ahead of the polls.

Moreover, Lovell described the UPP as more than a political party. “It is a movement that puts people first… a philosophy that places citizens at the center of development,” he said.

He also said the party stays strong despite external attempts to divide it. “The enemy tried to divide us, but we are united. We are strong. We stand together,” he declared.

Furthermore, Lovell framed the election as driven by voters, not officeholders. “The power in the people is greater than the people in power,” he said, receiving applause.

In addition, he made a direct appeal for voter participation. “We need your voice and your vote… and we will make a change in this country,” he said.

“There’s no turning back… only moving forward,” he added, emphasizing determination for the campaign.
