CWI Accepts Apology from Antigua & Barbuda Falcons Over Medical Records Dispute

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has accepted an apology from Antigua & Barbuda Falcons head coach Paul Nixon and the team’s management after Nixon made inaccurate remarks about how CWI handled player medical records. The issue centered on all-rounder Justin Greaves, with Nixon initially suggesting poor communication from CWI. However, CWI clarified that all medical handover reports were properly shared before the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) began in August.

CWI revealed that while their physiotherapist provided Greaves’ full medical update to both the Leeward Islands and Falcons’ staff, the Falcons did not complete the required medical assessment and offered Greaves only one physiotherapy session in the first three weeks of the tournament. CEO Chris Dehring emphasized that player welfare remains a top priority and praised the CPL as a key partnership for West Indies cricket.
