Culture will take center stage this November as Antigua and Barbuda bursts into creativity with the much-anticipated Art Week, returning from November 26 to December 2, 2025, under the theme “Culture in Colour.”

The week-long festival, organized by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority in partnership with the Department of Culture, promises to showcase the richness of local talent. Expect visual art, fashion, music, dance, spoken word, and cultural traditions activated in diverse venues across the islands — from historic Redcliffe Quay and Heritage Quay to the modern spaces of V.C. Bird International Airport.

Opening night (Nov 26) will feature a grand celebration under the stars with live art demonstrations and musical performances. Highlights over the week include:

  • A Visual Arts Exhibition at the Dr. Alister Francis Campus, featuring works by acclaimed Antiguan artist Mark Brown alongside students.
  • A Sustainable Art Workshop hosted by Good Humans 268 Inc., exploring eco-friendly creative practices.
  • The return of Art & Culture Bus Tours (Nov 28–29), bringing art lovers to galleries, artisan studios, and cultural hotspots.
  • A fashion show called “ZOIGE” (Nov 30), led by local designer Garrett Javan.
  • A Student Art Competition (ages 7–17), exhibitions at The Quay Studio and Heritage Quay, “Mandala & Mojitos” events at Bay Gardens, “Rhythm & Vibes” at Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, and a closing weekend of Open Studios & Galleries Dec 1–2.

Maria Blackman, Art Week Lead and Marketing Communications Manager, emphasized the festival’s focus on putting local artists at the centre and driving community engagement. Most events will be free and open to the public, though select paid events will start at EC $75. Tickets are expected to go on sale mid-October through the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, the TickeTing app, and participating organizers.

Colin C. James, CEO of the Tourism Authority, said Art Week is more than a showcase — it’s “an invitation to immerse yourself in the creativity, culture, and stories that make our twin islands unique. Beyond our 365 beaches, Art Week places on show the creative side of Antigua and Barbuda.”
