Crabbs witnessed a tragic traffic collision on Friday evening that claimed the life of 35-year-old Charles Paul Rippon of Fitches Creek.

According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Crabbs Main Road near the Crabbs Economic Zone. Upon arrival, police saw a silver Honda CR-V that had collided with a tree off the southern side of the roadway.

Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle was traveling north to south at high speed. Then, the driver reportedly lost control and veered off the road. Consequently, the jeep overturned several times before stopping.

Meanwhile, firefighters from the All Saints Fire Department rushed to the scene. Using hydraulic rescue tools, they extricated the driver, who was unconscious at the time. Subsequently, Emergency Medical Services transported him to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. However, he was pronounced dead at approximately 8:30 p.m.

In addition, the Police Administration extended sincere condolences to Rippon’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
