Claudius

Claudius King has been charged in connection with multiple property damage and larceny offences. The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda confirmed the charges on Friday.

Accordingly, police arrested and charged the 24-year-old of Hatton following several reported incidents. The offences occurred on January 13, 2026. Investigators linked King to separate acts of theft and malicious damage.

In the first incident, police charged King with larceny and malicious damage. The case involved a resident of Tindale Road. Officers said a car battery valued at $475 was stolen. In addition, a right rear panel glass was damaged. That damage was valued at $300.

Meanwhile, police reported a second incident on Kentish Road. In that matter, King was charged with stealing two side mirrors. The mirrors were valued at $1,000. He was also charged with stealing a car jack valued at $100.

Furthermore, investigators said two quarter panel glasses were damaged in the same incident. The damage was valued at $600. As a result, police added malicious damage charges.

Additionally, police charged King with malicious damage to a toilet bowl. That item was valued at $700. Officers confirmed that all offences occurred on the same day.

Importantly, police issued a correction to an earlier media release. They said an incorrect photo was mistakenly included. As a result, the public was asked to remove the image. Police said a corrected photo will be issued later.

Moreover, police clarified an important detail. The featured photo showed King during an arrest. However, that arrest was not connected to this matter. Therefore, police stressed accuracy and transparency.

Meanwhile, investigations into the offences are ongoing. Officers continue to review evidence. They are also following additional leads related to the incidents.

As the process continues, King is expected to appear before the court. Police have not yet confirmed a court date. However, they said further information will be provided when available.

The Royal Police Force reminded the public to remain vigilant. They also encouraged residents to report suspicious activity. According to police, timely reports help prevent crime.

In conclusion, police say they remain committed to protecting lives and property. They also reaffirmed their focus on clear communication with the public. Further updates will be issued as investigations progress.
