Childhood Home of Burning Flames to Become Music Museum and Community Centre

The childhood home of the legendary Antiguan soca band Burning Flames will soon be transformed into a museum and community music centre. The project aims to preserve the group’s legacy while providing a space to nurture local talent and celebrate Antigua and Barbuda’s rich musical culture.
The initiative will showcase memorabilia, instruments, and stories from the band’s journey, ensuring that future generations can learn about their contribution to soca and Caribbean music. It will also serve as a hub where young musicians can gain inspiration, training, and support.
Behind the preserved house, Edwards plans to construct a small recording studio and band hall to serve the community.
The move highlights Antigua and Barbuda’s ongoing efforts to honour its cultural icons while investing in the growth of its creative industries.
