Antigua unveils new visitor experiences and tourism upgrades

Antigua and Barbuda is rolling out new visitor experiences for 2026.
The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority announced the updates this week.

Overall, the offerings span festivals, sports, culture, and infrastructure.
As a result, visitors will find more reasons to explore year-round.

First, Antigua is adding the Antigua Racing Cup to its yachting calendar.
The event runs from April 9 to 12, 2026.

Importantly, it kicks off a busy sailing month.
It also complements Antigua Sailing Week and the RORC Caribbean 600.

Next, the AUA Rohrman Trail and Swim Fest returns in April.
The event runs from April 11 to 12.

It features trail races, open-water swims, and kids’ triathlons.
Athletes from around the world are expected to compete.

Moreover, the trail races cross scenic landscapes.
Meanwhile, the swims take place in clear coastal waters.

In May, Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month returns.
The celebration highlights local chefs and island flavors.

The program includes Eat Like A Local experiences.
Restaurant Week runs from May 3 to 17.

Additionally, the FAB Food, Art and Beverage Fest returns on May 23.
Guest chefs from the US, UK, and Canada will participate.

Also in May, Run in Paradise marks its 10th anniversary.
The event offers half marathon, 10K, and 5K races.

Later, Carnival lights up the islands from July 25 to August 4.
Music, mas, and cultural pride take center stage.

In November, Antigua and Barbuda Art Week returns.
Artists transform the islands into an open-air gallery.

Meanwhile, several hotels are upgrading or opening.
Moon Gate Hotel and Spa opens in 2026 as a boutique luxury option.

Hermitage Bay completed major villa upgrades.
Curtain Bluff also renovated suites and dining areas.

Cultural experiences are expanding as well.
Rum in the Ruins continues at Dow’s Hill.

Additionally, Shirley Heights launches a new Friday Night Party.
The event adds more music and sunset vibes.

Adventure seekers will enjoy new marine tours.
These include transparent boats and crystal kayak experiences.

Finally, major infrastructure upgrades are underway.
Airport runway works finish in November 2026.

The new cruise terminal opens in January.

Altogether, Antigua and Barbuda is setting the stage for a vibrant 2026.
