Antigua Sailing Week Expands With Riddim & Tides Event
Antigua Sailing Week is expanding its shoreside experience with a new beach event. The event is called Heineken Riddim & Tides.
Organizers say the move responds to growing public interest. Many people want to enjoy the regatta both on and off the water. Therefore, the new event will take place on April 25, 2026. It will be held at Ffryes Beach on the island’s west coast.
The event comes through a partnership with Anjo Wholesale Distributors. The company represents the Heineken brand in Antigua and Barbuda. Moreover, the event aims to connect sailing with beach culture.
Riddim & Tides will bring sailors, locals, and visitors together. It will celebrate Caribbean culture, music, and the sea. For over 50 years, Antigua Sailing Week has attracted international sailors. However, many residents want more ways to take part.
As a result, organizers created this new experience. Marketing Manager Rana-Jamila Lewis said the event opens the regatta to a wider audience. Furthermore, it creates space for shared celebration on the beach.
The event will feature performances by 3 Cylinder and top regional DJs. In addition, special guest entertainers will appear. The setting at Ffryes Beach will add to the atmosphere.
Moreover, the event will include food vendors and curated hospitality. There will also be a lively offshore tie-up for boats. Power craft and other vessels are invited to join.
Anjo Wholesale also supports the initiative. Germaine Serieux said the event captures Caribbean lifestyle energy. He added that it blends music, culture, and boating.
The timing aligns with Antigua Sailing Week. Consequently, organizers expect visitors from nearby islands. These include St. Kitts and Nevis, Guadeloupe, St. Martin, and St. Maarten.
Overall, Riddim & Tides adds a new layer to the sailing experience. It combines beach celebration with marine culture. Finally, organizers hope it strengthens Antigua and Barbuda’s cultural appeal.
Visitors are encouraged to attend during Sailing Week from April 22 to 26. The full schedule is available on the official website.
