Antigua & Barbuda Condemns Israel’s Qatar Strike

Antigua & Barbuda has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrike in Qatar, calling it a serious breach of international law. The government said the action, which targeted senior Hamas figures on September 9, was a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and the United Nations Charter.

In its statement, Antigua & Barbuda expressed “full solidarity” with Qatar. The government echoed the UN Secretary-General’s description of the strike as a “flagrant violation” and urged an end to escalation. Officials also called for renewed diplomacy to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages.

The statement warned that such violations must not go unpunished. Antigua & Barbuda called on the United Nations Security Council to urgently address the matter and ensure respect for international law.
