ABTA brings Antigua and Barbuda’s culinary excellence to the United Kingdom with two special dinner events that highlighted the work of Antiguan chef Kareem Roberts and Barbudan chef Keshia Sakarah. The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority hosted both events during World Travel Market 2025.

The first showcase took place on November 6 at The Burleigh Arms in Cambridge. Chef Roberts, who works at the venue, prepared a tasting menu that mixed classic Antiguan flavours with modern techniques. Guests also saw a preview of his new cookbook, Cassava & Cardamom, which celebrates Antiguan culture and food traditions.

The second dinner followed the next evening at The Pilgrim Hotel in Paddington. Chef Keshia Sakarah, known for her storytelling and cultural passion, created a refined pan-Caribbean tasting menu inspired by her Barbudan roots. The event also marked the release of her cookbook, Caribe: A Caribbean Cookbook with History.

ABTA CEO Colin C. James praised both chefs. He said their dishes show the creativity, pride, and depth of Antigua and Barbuda’s food culture. He also noted that these events help strengthen the islands’ reputation as a top destination for culinary travel.

The showcases in Cambridge and London supported ABTA’s mission to share more of the islands’ stories. The events highlighted not only beaches and scenery but also the flavours, talent, and cultural experiences that shape Antigua and Barbuda.
