Antigua and Barbuda is working with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to strengthen the quality of laboratory services and advance preparations for international accreditation.

The collaboration focuses on improving quality management systems, reviewing laboratory procedures and helping local facilities align with recognized international standards.

Through technical support and assessments, PAHO is assisting health officials and laboratory teams as they identify areas for improvement and build capacity within the country’s public health system.

Officials say the initiative is an important step toward achieving accreditation readiness while enhancing the reliability, consistency and overall quality of laboratory testing services in Antigua and Barbuda.
