The Antigua and Barbuda Volleyball Association has announced the national men’s and women’s teams that will represent the country at the ECVA Senior Volleyball Championships.slated for August 12-16 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI).

The selected athletes will compete against some of the region’s top volleyball talent as Antigua and Barbuda looks to make a strong showing in the tournament.

Senior Men’s National Team: Cairon Davis (Captain), Dominick Anthony, Collin Thomas, Dwight Bonnie, Abner Farquare, Asafa Donavan, Paul Richards, Erwin Mathurin, Jamarie James, Amali Mannix and Jedidiah Christian. The team is coached by Fitzroy Benjamin with assistance from Braulio Estrada-Lopez.
Senior Women’s National Team: Nyota Peters (Captain), Jaanai Jacobs, Alliyah Smith, Rayana Regis, Josanne Lewis, Faith Gibson, Phillisha Burnette, Jahzara Donavan, Anik Jarvis, Allisha Jno-Baptiste and Jaya Carr. The team is being coached by Carl Williams with Rosemarie Simon as his assistant.

Preparations are now underway as both teams fine-tune their training ahead of the championships. The tournament will provide an opportunity for Antigua and Barbuda’s volleyball players to showcase their skills while competing for regional honours.
