Miss Caribbean Universe 2025 Desrie Markham will appear as Guest Artist at the 43rd Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Teen Pageant. The announcement has generated strong interest across the pageant and youth communities.

Ms. Markham is an Attorney-at-Law in Antigua. Currently, she serves as Crown Counsel II in the Attorney General’s Chambers. Through this role, she works in criminal law, civil litigation, and family law. Moreover, she has experience in international climate change policy and law.

Beyond her legal career, she remains deeply committed to youth development. For the past eight years, she has been an active member of the National Youth Theatre. During that time, she has mentored young performers across the country. As a result, many youths have gained confidence and discipline.

Additionally, theatre has played a major role in her personal growth. Organizers note that she uses the arts as a tool for leadership and education. Therefore, her contribution extends beyond performance.

Her advocacy platform focuses on youth wellness through theatre. Titled “Drama: A Safe Space for the Depressed, Deprived, and Delinquent,” the initiative uses drama for healing. Through this work, she helps young people express emotions and overcome challenges.
